Polk Red Cross Assists After Tree Falls on Boarding House
On Sunday, Aug. 10, a tree fell on a boarding house in Winter Haven, damaging power lines and nearly causing a fire. With power cut to the building and a life-safety issue, the Red Cross has provided seven adults with temporary shelter.
